Join us on Monday, April 3, 2017, for the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Preview Day at the North GA Hub! 

Prospective students will have the opportunity to observe a class, learn about NOBTS programs, and dialogue with NOBTS Faculty, students, and staff. 
Also, Dr. Chuck Kelley, the president of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, has scheduled a visit to our Marietta, GA campus on that day.

ALL NGA Day Lunch & Chapel-You are Invited!!!
Join us on Monday, April 3 for lunch and chapel as we have the unique opportunity to have NOBTS President Dr. Chuck Kelley with us at the North Georgia Extension Center campus. We'll gather in the Magnolia Room of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church at 11:45 for a delicious meal and chapel service led by Dr. Kelley. Let's fill the room! A PICTURE NEEDED FOR YOUR STUDENT FILE

The ITC at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary announced that they are working on posting each student's picture on their file. If your picture is not posted on your self-serve account, please send us a copy of your photo so that the ITC office can update your file. The following criteria will be applied to the photos that you will send:

1. Photos must be in .jpg format
2. Size of photo can be no longer than 200 x 200 pixels
3. Resolutions should be around 72
Please email your picture to  Selfserve@nobts.edu and if you have any questions, you can email us at the same email address.
 **Please note: This is not a requirement, but please send us your picture if you desired that the picture is included on your student file. 

NOBTS ON MISSION IN UTAH

Dr. Ken Taylor, NOBTS Professor of Urban Missions, is coordinating a mission trip for NOBTS students this June 19-25, 2017. Below are the basic details. To express your interest and find out more about how you can be involved, please email Dr. Taylor as soon as possible at ktaylor@nobts.edu.
Here is a part of what the trip will consist of:
  • In-depth academic training about Mormonism
  • Face to Face evangelism opportunities throughout the week
  • Watch a live panel discussion between current Mormons and Christians
  • Visit to Temple Square and other historic locations in Salt Lake City

The NOBTS student rate for this trip of $625 (heavily subsidized by NOBTS) pays for:
§  Airfare from New Orleans
§  Transportation in Utah
§  Gas
§  Meals & Lodging
§  Training materials

§   Love offering for our hosts

Extension Center students are encouraged to connect with this unique opportunity of mission training and engagement.



Course credit and free tuition are available to all NOBTS students for the special event class Bivocational Ministry, April 21-22, in conjunction with the upcoming No Restraints Conference, with featured speakers Phil Waldrep and Ed Stetzer. The Caskey Center for Church Excellence will cover tuition costs for any registered student, regardless...

The Caskey Center for Church Excellence will cover tuition costs for any registered student, regardless of whether the student is a Caskey Center scholarship recipient or not, Caskey Center director Dr. Mark Tolbert announced.Graduate credit is offered for PATH 5334 and undergraduate credit for the course PMCM 3378. No pre-class work is required. Assignments will be due at dates following the No Restraints conference. Students will be responsible for the cost of required textbooks.
A full-day class session will be held before the conference and a concluding session will be held at the end. Registration for the No Restraints conference is free and separate.
Students should register the class through Self-Serve as a regular workshop course. Visit http://www.nobts.edu/caskeycenter/conference.html to register for the No Restraints conference.

HAS GOD CALLED YOU TO THE NATIONS?

Consider serving the nations in Jesus' name right here in the Atlanta area. Bill Johnson, pastor of Reach the Nations Church and NOBTS grad., invites you to participate in a summer internship in the Clarkston area, promising an encounter with the international mission field without leaving the state of Georgia! Interns will gain hands-on missions and church planting experience while facilitating and engaging in discipleship opportunities. Dates of training and participation are May 24-August 4, 2017. Check out the church's website at rtnatlanta.com for more info and to apply. Note that this is not a paid position but ministry-related expenses on the field and housing are covered. You may also talk with Dr. Kendrick about a possible class-credit option.

Associate Student Pastor/ First Baptist Montgomery-
First Baptist Montgomery, AL is currently looking for a new Associate Student Pastor to join their team.  This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a large student ministry and learn under the guidance of a great church staff.  We make sure that this person has time to balance both work and school: Monday is a day off so they can go to class in Birmingham or Montgomery, and Thursday is allowed as a study day in the office.
