NGA LUNCH CONNECTION WITH DR. BOB STEWART
C.S. LEWIS and EVANGELISM
On Monday, September 25, all NGA students, staff, faculty, and guests are invited to gather in the Magnolia Room of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church at 11:45 a.m. for lunch and a presentation by NOBTS Professor Dr. Bob Stewart titled "Evangelistic Tips from C. S. Lewis." He will follow this at 1:15 p.m., addressing "Contemporary Challenges for Contemporary Pastors." Dr. Stewart is the Professor of Philosophy and Theology on the main campus and holds the Greer-Heard Chair of Faith and Culture. Ready to enhance disciple-making strategies at your church? XCELERATE 2017 is the place for you. The two-day event features informative speakers who will challenge and encourage you in relevant disciple-making strategies. All conference attendees will receive two free books and a free meal!
Academic Credit Available: NOBTS students can take undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral-level courses in conjunction with XCELERATE. Students who register for courses through Self-Serve must also register for the conference through the link below, and pay the $29 conference fee. The courses available for credit are as follows:
Undergrad Level: CECM4326 Foundations of Discipleship in the Local Church
Graduate Level: DISC5260 Discipleship Strategies
Graduate Level: DISC6192/6292/6392 Special Topics in Discipleship

Current Student Scholarship application is open from September 1st to 30th, 2017. As an Extension Center Students, you are allowed to apply for the NOBTS current student scholarship program. Here is the requirement to apply for the program: Two classes fulfill the full-time student status requirement for NOBTS Financial Aid purposes. The two classes must be Monday or Tuesday on-campus courses or Thursday, Friday, or Saturday hybrid, on-campus courses. Internet courses, independent studies, special event courses, and workshops DO NOT count toward full-time status.
