To receive a scholarship as a current student of NOBTS, you must meet the following requirements:
    1. Be enrolled full-time for the entire semester (12 hours for New Orleans campus undergraduates; 9 hours for New Orleans campus graduates; 2 courses for undergraduates and graduates at all other campuses; active enrollment for doctoral students). Internet courses, workshops, and independent studies do not count toward full-time status.
    2. Have a clear balance with the NOBTS Business Office (if you currently have a past due balance, you may still complete this application with the understanding that you have until July 31st to clear your balance for Fall scholarships and December 31st to clear your balance for Spring scholarships)
    3. Must have completed at least one full semester as a student at NOBTS.
    4. Follow the instructions in your award email
In order to complete this application, you will want to have your Self-Serve account, personal budget, and asset/liability information available. Applications must be completed by April 30th for Fall scholarships and by September 30th for Spring scholarships.
We strive to assist as many students as possible; however, completion of this application does not guarantee the reception of a grant. We will send Fall award notifications by the first week or so of July and Spring award notifications by the first week or so of December.
WHAT CONSTITUTES FULL-TIME STATUS FOR NOBTS SCHOLARSHIPS?
    • Extension Center Students - Two classes fulfill the full-time student status requirement for NOBTS Financial Aid purposes. The two classes must be Monday or Tuesday on-campus courses or Saturday hybrid, on-campus courses. NOLA2U and NOLA2U FLEX courses, Internet courses, independent studies, special event courses, and workshops DO NOT count toward full-time status. Your insurance provider, student loan company, or veterans services may require you to have more credit hours to achieve full-time status for their purposes. Please check with any outside entity if you have additional questions about meeting its requirements for full-time status. NOBTS does not dictate what those agencies require of you.

Staff Sgt. John Howard is coming to NGA today ( April 9 at 11:45 a.m.) in the Magnolia Room and is bringing lunch for anyone interested in meeting with him about chaplaincy in the Army National Guard. He needs to know NOW who plans to come (space is limited).
Please consider attending this lunch meeting even if National Guard service hasn't been on your radar. Sometimes God surprises us when we keep ourselves open to HIS will, instead of our own. We have several main campus professors who serve our country in this capacity.
