NOBTS, GA/AL Extension Centers (Feb.3, 2020)

NOBTS, GA/AL Extension Centers

North Georgia Center will be offering a Campus Preview Day for prospective students on Monday, March 23, 2020. Dr. Larry Lyon, NOBTS Vice President of Enrollment, will be delivering a chapel message to prospective and current students on that day. Prospective students will have the opportunity to learn about NOBTS programs and to dialogue with NOBTS faculty, students, and staff. Campus Preview Day will be held from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm (including the opportunity to observe a current class). If you have friends, relatives, church members, or family members who are interested in study with NOBTS in preparing for ministries and missions, please spread this information and invite them to this event. The event will be held at Groups Building (2nd Floor) at Cross Pointe Church, 1800 Satellite Blvd NW, Duluth, GA 30097.  **Lunch is FREE for prospective students and their guests (*registration is required to receive free lunch). Please sign up here:

On Monday, February 10, NOBTS @ NGA welcomes Dr. Steve Paar to Lunch Connection Chapel. Dr. Paar is an NOBTS graduate and adjunct professor. He has served as Chief Strategist with the Georgia Baptist Mission Board. We look forward to hearing how God is working in our state -- and specifically in this area! Click here to let us know you'll join us for lunch! Oh, and did you know that even if you can't be at our North Georgia extension center for this chapel experience, you can participate through Facebook Live on the NOBTS North Georgia page? Check out https://www.facebook.com/nga.center/ at Noon (EST) on February 10. It's a good time to be a seminary student! Get connected!

As an NOBTS student, when you enter the building of North GA and Duluth centers, you NEED to be wearing your NOBTS ID badge/lanyard. If you are NOT wearing your NOBTS ID badge/lanyard, you will need to stop at the front desk, sign in, and get permission. If your ID badge/lanyard disappeared over the summer, please see Mrs. Lee or me. Please fill out the form for the ID card/name badge here.
*When you request the ID Badge, please present the following items:
  • We need to verify your US. government-issued ID before we issue an NOBTS ID card.
  • This card will be used as an NOBTS ID card and NGA name badge.

If you enrolled for Spring 2020 semester courses as a new student or a returning student from a semester break, your NOBTS ID verification sticker is available at your center office or program office from Monday Feb. 3, 2020. We just ordered the stickers to be delivered to each extension center.
The registration stickers are valid through each academic year, so the only new students who were not enrolled in the Fall 2019 semester or the students who did not receive the sticker in last semester will need it.

WHAT ABOUT GETTING TEXTBOOKS FOR CLASSES?  Students are responsible for obtaining textbooks before classes begin. https://nobts.ecampus.com/ and Amazon are two primary sources for seminary textbooks. You may also check out the Facebook page NOBTS Marketplace (https://www.facebook.com/groups/nobtsmarketplace/) to see if anyone is selling a book you need.
